Tehran to hold calligraphy works on Ashura

A collection of works on the incident of Ashura has been scheduled to be put on display at a museum in the Iranian capital city of Tehran.

The celebrated Iranian calligrapher Ali Shirazi’s calligraphic artwork on Ashura will be displayed at the Imam Ali (AS) Religious Arts Museum in Tehran next month.

Ashura is the tenth day of the lunar month of Muharram, upon which Imam Hussein (AS) and his companions were tragically martyred.

The exhibition will showcase the collection composed of 120 artworks, all illuminated by artists Ramin Merati, Mohsen Aqamiri and Dariush Jalilian.

Panel discussions are scheduled to be held on the sidelines of the exhibition, which will be held at the Tehran museum from November 3-30.
